For a Princess

Good morning, my friends! Wouldn't you have loved to have a playing house just like this one when you were a tot? Lots of sweet ideas if you are planning to make a house for the princess of the family. There is another lovely kids' house here if you missed it!

Pliktene kaller.

Kurvene under gir praktisk oppbevaringsplass.

Mini-planter passer godt inn i lekehuset. Her en liten mini-eføy.

White Kids' Rooms: Would You Dare?

Good morning to you cherished reader.
These two kids' bedrooms are not exactly all white as there are splashes of apple green and vibrant pink here and there, and the wall to wall carpeting is light grey. The rooms are separated by a sliding door left open during the day for lots of playing room. They look quite cheerful and bright.
Do you think a white room for kids is a good idea?

I'm sorry I forgot to copy the source! If anyone knows please let me know and I'll add it.

Cottage on Grayton Beach in Florida

Good beautiful rainy morning! The inspiration for this family beach house came from the film Something’s Gotta Give. I showed you the house made for this film starring Diane Keaton some time ago in this post.

One of a collection of Henry Barnes paintings, the architectural painting of Greece that crowns the living room fireplace adds a dash of Mediterranean flair. The pale blue and white striped rugs in the living room and dining room are very similar to the one in the film.

Wistful blue-painted cupboards

Bunk room with bold stripes, informal fabrics, and cotton rugs. The sofa was a flea-market find.

A candle lantern in the bunk room... I would never, ever, light these candles. Not by the curtains and beds and especially not in the kids' room.

A giant shell to store soap.

A painting by Heather Barron enlivens this reading nook.

Soft palette makes this a soothing nursery.

Isn't the Noah's ark cute?

For a long narrow room like this attic: beds along the same wall and plenty of storage room under the beds. I like the nautical style small windows.

A low magazine or book rack so the little ones can learn how to take care of their books and help tidy up their room. Love the small chest painted with different colours for each drawer.
Where are my gloves mum? In the pink drawer honey!

Sunny Beach House.

Tarpon Texas Idea House 2009 in Southern Living.
This light and airy beach house is located in Port Aransas, Texas. Pastel colours and plenty of white make it a sunny retreat to enjoy the summer.

2009 Southern Living Texas Idea House Living Room
Such a happy and livable family room. I love the striped rug.

2009 Southern Living Texas Idea House Dining Room
The dining room is bright and cozy at the same time. The built-in bench and wall of windows make this small space seem much larger. Two vintage light fixtures, hung with nautical rope instead of standard chains illuminate the space.

Hanging a painting in the kitchen is a wonderful idea! Painting by Florida artist Justin Gaffrey

2009 Southern Living Texas Idea House Children's Loft
I've posted this photo before. Nice ideas for the childrens' loft.

2009 Southern Living Texas Idea Downstairs Master Bathroom
Downstairs master bathroom. Instead of a basic doorway between the downstairs bedroom and bath, the architects designed a glass wall as a divider, with grommeted curtain panels that can be pulled for privacy.
