Back with Christmas in a Norman Cottage

Hello again! I'm back from 10 glorious days in Geneva and 2 in Venice. And what a lovely surprise to see I have reached 1001 followers! I'm so grateful to all of you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!

And here we go again, back to our posts. This cottage in the Auge Valley in Normandy belongs to designer Claudine Martin who has it ready for Christmas. A beautiful, warm home full of Christmas decorating ideas.

  3. The history this cottage has seen.......makes one wonder, World War II, June 6th, D-Day. The war started here for the Americans who parachuted into Normandy, stormed the beaches to run head on into German machine gun nests.......I wonder who lived here then and what they experienced. Fascinating.
