Interior Designer: Mariette Himes Gomez

Today is a good day to invite you to have a look at rooms designed by Mariette Himes Gomez. Her firm is based in New York. I like the way she uses creamy neutral tones, making her rooms calm and inviting, sophisticated but not stuffy.

She was named one of the House Beautiful Giants of Design in 2004 and honored as a Dean of American Design by Architectural Digest in 2005. Gomez's work has been published in Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, the New York Times, and Town & Country.

So, what do you say if we enjoy these lovely pics? As always I'd love to hear what you think about them!

  1. Beautiful...are all of these from the same home? I noticed many elements (mirror, chairs, fabric)repeated in the photos.
    Thank you! Tami E.

  2. Hi Tami, you certainly have a good eye! Not all of them belong to the same house but pictures 4, 10, 11 and 12 are of an apartment on Park Avenue, Manhattan.
I love it when readers really have a good look at the photos! Thanks Tami for your interest!
