Too early to start with Christmas decorations? I think it's time to start planning for Christmas, choose your Christmas colours, and get some ideas. The owners of this home in Drøbak, Oslo, used silver, grey, and white.
Do you decorate your home for Christmas by choosing one or two colours, or do you use different colours in each room? Maybe it is multiple colours for you. I'd love to know. Source
Nothing more magical than a white Christmas in Scandinavia!! I have never been to Norway, but hear it is beautiful. Never too early for Christmas, Kifus!! xoxo Loi
OMG! is it that time already? I do love them all as I am a child at heart at Christmas time but I have to say I do love traditional Christmas decorations, the whole works, I am so not a minimalist, at all. Lovely to see the Christmas decorated rooms here...all very inspiring!
Thanks Jenny! Well, I know I'm a bit ahead but it's always nice to have plenty of time to decide how we are going to decorate our homes for Christmas. There's lots more coming!
Kifus, What a winter wonderland Oslo looks like and this house is so appealing, even though I don't think I could manage an entirely white house and white Christmas. This one is beautifully done. I use a lot of traditional colors, crimson and green, but the ornaments are all glass and I lean lately towards quite a few of the mercury glass balls. I love the season and usually have my tree up the first weekend in December. What about you? Karen
The tradition in Argentina is to put up the tree on December 8th, so that's what we do. When my kids were small we had lots of colours on our green tree. Then I switched to all red ornaments and it's usually green and red decorations around the house. Last year I did add some silver too. But I do want to try something completely different this year. Especially for the Christmas table setting.
Oh, Kifus, what a wonderful post! I'm a Christmas person, love its decorations, its smell, the food, love everything about it. So, I'm asking: can I save this on my files for a future post, with credits to you, of course? Congratulations on your selection, it's fabulous. I love monochromatic Christmas decorations, green and off-whites with gold and silver touches. Have a nice day! Tereza
