Hard to believe this is not a restored ancient farmhouse. It was built in 2010. Its owner fell in love with the island of Mallorca and decided he wanted an old looking house, at least from the outside, with all the comforts of a brand new one.
Hope you enjoyed the tour, my friends! All images from here.
Oh, these summer/country houses in Spain! Why are they so gorgeous? Me too, like Cat, I should change the place of residence. Sure, if I get rich enough to buy one of those houses. Alas, I'm not, but the dream still lives. All is in the details. Look at those adorable square flower vases (or pots?), at the faucets above the bathroom sink, although I can't quite figure out how are they mounted, in the wall, in the mirror? Doesn't matter. The sisal rugs, the baskets, the wood beams. The muted hues, the outside terrace with wicker chairs, so inviting. The only thing I'd change is the thick round mirror on the left side wall in the living. It kind of breaks the balance, but hey, I'm not the owner, and perhaps in reality the balance is just right. Thanks for sharing.
Dear Kifus, this is a true masterpiece. The outside dining room looks so great with that massive wooden table! Every room of this house is so well designed. I love the simple but gorgeous lines of the kitchen and the light green elements in almost every room. That green kitchen closet has my favorite color! Very nice Spanish palace!
Dear Kifus, The more I see the Spanish style, the more I love it! They build wonderful houses as this one you showed here! The picture of that terrace door is so beautiful!! And the sunshine is present everywhere in and around the house! Oh just love it! xx Greet

I should change the place of residence. Where is the sun in Englan!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, beautiful post!
Now I am looking at flooring ideas! I think I need to go with tile--hard choices!
